I love Fridays

It's Friday and I am ready to go home from work now. I love the feeling that I don't have to go to school or work tomorrow and I'll have a bit of time to catch up on life.

So today, I'll tell a little about my mission. There would be so much to say just about my mission that I could fill up a book or two. I did fill up almost 5 journals, so that can give you an idea. It was the most important experience I have had in my whole life. I think about some aspect of my mission every day. So, if you can't tell from the pictures in this blog, I went to Rome Italy on my mission. I loved it there. There is such a rich culture and great people. I will never forget the smell of the air as I walked down those streets, or better, the smell and feel of the cool wind on my face as I rode my bike through the narrow turns.

One of my favorite things there was the people. I met a ton of people. There is nothing better than seeing people grow together because of the gospel. I had the opportunity to see many people choose to change their lives, giving up things from the past, and accepting baptism. It taught me many lessons that I will never forget.

The main thing that I learned is that we have a Heavenly Father that loves us and has a plan for us. He sent his Son, Jesus Christ to atone for our sins and overcome death so that we could return to live with Him again and become like Him. I know that He speaks to men in our day so that we can understand the things we need to do to get back, which is to follow the Gospel. If we have faith in Christ and we strive to become like Him we will succeed.
